Wife - a husband's poem

You are the breeze in a hot summer’s day
That blows my mind away from yesterday
Shaking me like a chime under a cruel sun
Your words fill my undertones with fun
Your laughter is as sweet as gum drops
They run in my mouth like honey drops
Sweetening the thoughts in my head
Making me sleep heavenly in my bed
Your hair sparkles against the sunlight
As each strands burst into starlight
Your kiss made me new and whole
It gave me back my life and my soul
You are my home and the world to me
I am the moon that remains faithfully
Like the wind traveling these lands
Naked with only my cold bare hands
I often seek for someone or something
But with you I will oft have everything
