Regret and Hope

Regret often visits the past
Pondering why it didn’t last
Though it haunts her still
Tormenting her to its will
Claiming her days as its own
Reaping what she has sown

When will the morning rise?
For tomorrow has no surprise
The night has made me blind
The demons are in my mind
Winter has silence my vow
Who can ever save me now?

Hope comes as bright as day
To thaw flowers as they pray
He brings spring to your eyes
Erasing all your tears and cries
He will slay all the fear in you
In him your vow will be renew
