LIGHTHOUSE

A paper in my shaking hand
All crumpled where I stand

As I stare upon the dusk
Dry and empty as a husk

My mouth could not utter
Of truth slicing like a cutter

I let you sail upon the seas
For I am your beacon of bliss

No storm can tear you away
For my light will show the way

Nor tempest can make you hide
For I am your strength and pride

But the horizon is filled with stars
  Mesmerizing city lights and cars

You left the ocean that we knew
For a shore that you ought is true

Only the rain I see beyond my sight
But the fog will come back at night

And I will fill again the sea with rays
To guide your heart beyond the bays
